Overview:

This workshop runs up to 8 hours.  It is designed for field technicians and technical support staff with telephony experience who are responsible for maintaining and configuring Mitel MiVoice Office 250 systems for small and medium sized customers, and would like a live run-through from beginning to end on how to program the phone switch following best practice principles.  Please note that this workshop will cover the topic in a standalone-system scenario, not networked systems with Direct IP Routes.

This course is remote leader-led. The student will be remote, and the course will be conducted with an instructor leading the training sessions via a web-session environment. Practical exercises will be conducted with remote access to MiVoice Office 250 instances.

Every effort will be made to accommodate for the different time zones in which the students reside. This may, in fact, cause some students to have an early start to their day while others may have a later start time.

Prerequisites:

Registration will not be accepted until the student has successfully completed one of the following:

• MiVoice Office 250 Rel 6.3 Installation and Maintenance Leader-Led
• MiVoice Office 250 Rel 6.3 Installation and Maintenance Remote Leader-Led
• MiVoice Office 250 Rel 6.3 Installation and Maintenance Update Self-Study

Equipment and Set-up Requirements:

Given that this course is delivered remotely, students must have the following equipment:

• One telephone, with either hands-free or headset operation capability and with mute ability. This will be used for audio conferencing.
• Two PCs or one PC with dual screens. One will be for the web session and the other is for programming and documentation access.
• A high-speed internet connection with minimum recommended speeds of 2 Mbps for downloading and 400 Kbps for uploading.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: The student will require TeamViewer installed and running on their computer in order to access the remote student computer to do the programming.

Equipment for class needs to be set up in a quiet environment for the best learning experience. Students must also have access rights to install software on the PC(s) for purposes of the lab environment.

NOTE: Class enrollment will close one day before the class start date. The prerequisites must be completed before class enrollment.
